Dear Mick, I am a senior citizen who teaches university students seeking their masters degree in criminal justice. Recently a student proposed that Americans buy guns because they don't trust their government to protect them. After reading the unnecessary and horrible mistreatment you have gone through, I propose that people buy guns because "their government" trusts them and they work together. I would never feel safe with a government that doesn't trust it's people. I am trying to collect flare/signal/Very cartridges from WWI and earlier please let me know if you have any to sell. Thank you, Allan

I have been fascinated with your site since I first found it a couple of years ago. I was particularly annoyed with how you were treated by the Met Police Service and I am pleased to say that those career aspirations I had have now gone, hopefully for the better. Your site is so informative and helpful, and will hopefully be of use to me in the not too distant future when I join my western Re-enactment group. Thanks for a brilliant site!

Dear Mick ,I have been collecting antique and second world war deactivated rifles for about two years now .I constantly come across the old and new spec worry between other collectors . Do you think they will change the law stating that only new spec certificates will be vallid ? It seems daft to say that old spec guns can easily be reactivated anyway what trendy criminal would hold up shop with a Enfield .303 or a heavy deac thomson smg. Deacs cost infinatly more than ilegal and avalable hand guns .Anyway I would value your opinion on the deac subject. By the way I love trawling through your web site, I shall definately buy something sooner or later, best wishes, Tony Smith

I am having not luck at all in getting 2.5" ammo for my guns. I have bought a reloading machine and am desperate to obtain hulls so as I can use my 2 stunning guns. Hi Mick, Used to see you around at Hawley when I shot there a few years ago. Was very pleased to see that the truth won out. Never doubted your innocence. I've had a run in with the Met when, during my divorce my wife made unfounded allegations against me, the Met took all my guns while I was at work, revoked my licence and refused the grant of a new one when the divorce was over. I took them to a Crown Court appeal and it was quite clear their knowledge of the law they are supposed to uphold, even on basic shotgun legislation, was woefully inadequate. The Judge gave me my SGC back. My trouble was no where near as bad as yours but it was traumatic enough. I wish you well and if I ever find myself down at Hawley hope to have the pleasure of watching you shoot skeet and any other discipline you always seemed to do so well. Good luck and best wishes. Nick

I watched with interest as you were filmed and arrested as Britain's public enemy No1. I laughed all the way and now I'm glad to see your still around, sticking it to the Moron's who think that they can make the law fit to what ever situation that suits. I am grateful that there are some who stand up for the right of law and not just the interpretation of some narrow minded glory seekers. Well done.

Well Done buddy, I had a blank firing 44 magnum for over 20 years it was a decorative object and was mounted on a slate it hadnt been fired for 20 years when the blanks ran out and parts of it was seized up due to lack of maintenace and dust. this was taking off me by the local enforcement officers due to a totally false set off allegations by a recovering mental patient of an ex girlfriend of mine. no further action was taken as the enforcement officers knew after 17 hours of me being detained that i was telling the truth. i had the option of recieving my item back but i declined as i didnt want to go through that experience ever again. so i can only imagine what you was going through. Best Regards mick
