Hi Mick, great site with many interesting guns. In South Africa our communist government is going the same route as the UK in trying to disarm honest citizens. The amount of collectible firearms already destroyed is to cry about. My own father in law wanted to hand over 7 Mausers dating from the Anglo Boer War and 2 Birmingham side by side shotguns. Luckily I persuaded him to auction it instead of handing it over for destruction. At least he made a few bob, the Police did not get their hands on it and the rifles and guns are in the hands of appreciative new owners. Best of luck in your struggle to get you possessions back and think of the firearm enthusiasts here in South Africa

hi mick, what a great site, charlton hestons gun vault was incredible, guns have now become like drugs in the uk,a nonstart subject, blanket condemnation for fear of media backlash,so obvious that criminals will keep there guns and use dangerous modified stuff, just the same as with drugs.the guns and drugs on our streets are now more deadly due to their illigal status than ever, such a shame the lawmakers live in dreamland, good luck and dont let em grind you down.

Hello Mick, congratulations. As a retired law enforcement officer (Detroit, MI police, 28 yrs), an avid gun owner and collector, competitive shooter, life member of the NRA, I stand behind the right of LAW ABIDING citizens of any country to keep and bear arms. As you may know there is a movement in the U.S. to restrict ownership of firearms. Many law enforcement agencies are ignorant of their own laws, Federal and State and individuals such as yourself have had to suffer the consequences. Thank God you were able to overcome the charges against you. Those who wrongfully accused you should be made to pay you restitution and be held responsible for their actions.

Congratulations to your legal victory! It's a real pity that some police bodies (In the U.K. as well as in Sweden) make it a sport harrassing gunowners, when they should be taking care of real criminals. But, of course, gun dealers usually behave well and don't shoot back, so are easier targets! Peter

Hello again Mick, You know....in regards to the Webley air pistol that I am interested in, but am unable to perchase at this time because your corrupt police have confiscated... It is a Brittish made PELLET PISTOL to begin with..... That is absurd, they need to collectively have their heads examined... and then systematically (and collectively) have their asses removed !! Good luck to you, I wish you all the best ! Dave

Just found your site. Im ex RFD, and a semi retired air weapons designer, many went into production under licence for a number of years, by various companys, but production has now ceased mostly due to costs. I gave up my RFD in 2000, but I still run my small engineering co. designing and manufacturing fishing tackle. I like your stats. on firearm control, interesting, my buddys in the US are being got at now with their 2nd. Seems all the worlds public is being disarmed slowly. Love the old guns, keep up the good work. Roy

Great site Mick & sorry to hear of the Gestapo methods employed by our increasingly militarized police force. They should remember it is their duty only to serve, protect & keep the peace. Not to do the bidding of their political masters. And we wonder why the public don't want to help the police any more. This used to be a free country.

Glad you won. Disapointing about the Police. Seems it's too hard to catch criminals... much easier to target the tax paying citizens trying to go about their legal business. You'd think that with all the Police/Border Agencies/security services/ Customs and the millions of CCTV cameras in the UK that crime would down and drugs impossible to get. Suprisingly, its worse than ever. Still as the Police need criminals & crime to earn their salaries, it's not in their interest to lock them all up!! Crime is up, Police numbers and salaries up too. No surprise there either...

Police persecute collectors instead of catching criminals. Mick's Guns are sorry to read some of the guest book entries and e mails sent to us from other innocent collectors telling their equally harrowing stories of their systematic persecution by the Police. We know only too well what you are going through. We as collectors suffer this persecution because of Operation Tridents inability to understand the difference between Sections 1,2,5,7 and 58 (2) of the Home Office Guidelines, and their reluctance to stop criminals bringing banned weapons into the country and using them in crime. In a pathetic attempt to save face and fool the public into thinking they are an effective force against this crime, they put on these despicable shows for the media. The persons who suffer are the innocent collectors who ALWAYS act totally inside the law. They raid our houses, bringing along the TV cameras and press photographers and tell them despicable lies, which they initially believe and report on. We then spend many months in prison and go to court and are proved 100% totally innocent, and the lies they told to the media, the public and the court are largely forgotten. They then look around for another innocent law abiding collector to persecute next, and the show goes on. Innocent law abiding collectors do not argue, fight or shoot at the Police, but real criminals do. This is why we are raided and paraded as the despicable criminals they are too scared to actually go after and arrest. We speak for the honest law abiding people of the world, and despise the lying corruption of todays Met Police Force.

10 months in jail for anyone is a harrowing expeariance. For a totally inocent person it would be enough to be considered torture. I hope you can, with the support of all your friends around the world, put this injustice behind you and once again enjoy the freedom to pursue your sporting interests. Best wishes for the future I know its not possible but I hope you get full monetary compensation for the wasted 10 months of your life.
