WELL Said Mr S Wilson, I could not agree with you more. I wish the Police would go after real criminals, but they are frightened they might get hurt. And as for the Home Secretary this week announcing she is banning deactivated guns because they could be reactivated. This can happen, and less than 0.1 % of gun crime is done with a reactivated gun. Why wont the Home Secretary take steps to stop the gun crime commited using the remainding 99.9 % of illegal imported guns that the drug dealers and murderers use to kill our children on the streets of London, Manchester and Liverpool ? The answer is simple, The Home Secretary is misled by the Police who are incapable of stopping these terrible child murders on our streets, so they hit the collectors, historians and law abiding shooting comunity, and tell the puplic they are effectively doing their job ! Thank goodness people like MR Wilson who can see the truth. Iftica Ahmed

I love the Air Arms military style air rifle you have Mick. And I recommend everyone go to the whats new page to read how a similar air gun was portrayed by the Police as an M16 Army military gun. I guess they found no banned guns in your house, with the worlds media and TV cameras waiting outside your house, they got the nearest air rifle and pretended to the media it was a banned Army gun. They also said your Webbley air pistol collection were banned section 5 pistols. With tossers like this as our top police, no wonder they have not succeeded in stoping gun crime. Robbie

But then in the eyes of the media brainwashed public any firearm enthusiast is pictured as a criminal. The word is mightier than the sword. Hi Mick, i have just learned you have been found not guilty and you are now a free man. I met you twice at your home and found you to be a real character and in my opinion a genuine and honest man. The first time i came to see you to buy a walking stick fourten, you wouldn`t let me have it because i did not have the clause on my licence, so i had to go home without the gun. I returned with the amended licence and the deal was done. I am so pleased everthing is back to normal and you are back on the web. I hope to do more deals with you in the future. best wishes Mick, Tony Maule from Warwickshire.

Im not sure I like all the anti police remarks. Everyone in the shooting community is pleased Mr Shepherd has been vindicated. As the official inquest opens in to the innocent Jean Charles de Menezes killing, we hear the confessions by our impecable police force. they say: "We did the best we could" Surely this is acceptable amoungst the law abiding community? They did their very best. They lied and said he ran and jumped the barriers. They lied and said he was heavily clothed like a suicide bomber. They lied and said he had a rucksack with explosives. They overpowered him, held him down, shot him several times in the face and neck in front of people going to work. He did not run, he did not jump, he did not have a rucksack, he was not heavily clothed, he was not a suicide bomber. They then tried to pay off the family of Jean Charles de Menezes quietly with about a million pounds if I recall correctly? They did the best they could? what does this mean? could it have been any worse for this innocent man and his family? Or do they mean they simply ran out of bullets, and otherwise would have shot him more times? I speak for the nation in saying our thoughts are with the family of Jean Charles de Menezes at this difficult time. We are so very sorry for our useless and incompetant lying police force. Thank goodness Mr Shepherd was not shot. Take them to the cleaners in court Sir, for all the innocent people alive and dead they have wronged. We are behind you all the way. Who can trust the Police in our Country now the world has seen what they tried to do to you Mick. I remember the initial hysteria over this case but I haven't seen any apology or publicity over the lies that the police have told or fed to the media. I only found out that you were exonerated by reading Gun mart, the mainstream media didn't find it newsworthy. It seems the police in this country can kill innocent people & get away with it, they also often talk rubbish & lies about legal gun ownership & its connection to crime. I think there is a political agenda behind all this which is about power remaining in the hands of a few & the general public being kept tame & ignorant, needed as the cash cow that finances all the nonsense that happens. I hope you can get compensation from the police in a blaze of publicity to show how wrong & misguided they are.

Well done and congratulations for managing to keep your chin up despite the bullying you received. When the whole sorry affair started and was broadcast showing inept policemen carrying what were obviously replicas, conversions and antiques from your premises it was obvious to anyone with a rudimentary knowledge that these guns were not illegal. How it ever went so far is beyond any form of reason. I just hope that the whole story about the authourities original arrest reasons come out in time. Like others I make a point of spreading the truth about this episode and other blunders to non shooters. All the best.

I just read your story on BBC News and it's staggering. Maybe I'm cynical, but it doesn't half look as though the police thought they'd got an easy high profile whipping boy to distract from the inherent failure of their controls on real firearms. The papers certainly didn't hesitate in repeating outrageous and completely unsubstantiated rumours as fact, which makes you realise how easily they can flat out lie and get away with it. Good on you for fighting back on behalf of all of us!

I was sorry to read of your imprisonment, looks like the Police were looking to the Courts to set a precedent so that they could kill off the trade in antique firearms that they clearly disapprove of. The next thing we hear about will be ACPO lobbying the Government to amend the Firearms Act to close what will doubtless be termed a loophole. I am really pleased that justice was done and that the police and the CPS failed.

I am glad to hear of your victory in court. I've been to Bisley and spent 5 week in your fine counrty, so I as a Canadian do know something about your country. Britain's bad gun laws are slowly arriving here. When an innocent citizen is held responsible for the criminal element's actions, as the liberal anti firearms politicians like to do. It is wrong and we legal firearms owners must challenge these laws, as we ourselves become innocent victims with often no where to turn for help. I have been in a simular siuation as you and had everything withdrawn before any court was required. It was sad but a victory for us legal firearms owners is a victory for all free people. Good for you!
